Water For People, an international sanitation NGO, is offering a fantastic opportunity for an Oxford student to work in Uganda through the Internship Programme.
Water For People is dedicated to providing permanent access to water and sanitation services in developing countries. The charity is working in Kamwenge district in Uganda in partnership with the local government, private sector and NGOs to build universal access to water and sanitation, in an initiative called ‘Everyone Forever’.
Water For People seek a Communication Intern who is passionate about international development, and who can lead on disseminating the lessons and successes of the project. The intern will identify opportunities to profile the organization, communicate achievements and ultimately, create the buy-in necessary to make Everyone Forever a national movement.
Tasks may include increasing Water For People’s visibility through social media, developing articles, storylines and pictures, working with entrepreneurs and their staff to enhance their communication and marketing skills, placing articles in local and national media, and working with the country team to organize publicity events.
A £2,500 Scott-Stone Scholarship is available to the selected intern.
For further details and to apply for both these opportunities please see CareerConnect before the deadline of April 21st.
