interdisciplinary fine art

OCS collaborated with the Flute & The Bowl, Oxford’s society for Art and Ecology, to pair 14 artists from the Ruskin Art School with 14 students from academic subjects working in areas related to climate change. The result was an exhibition called Diffracting Matters, which ran in April 2019 at the North Wall Arts Centre. With works ranging from quantum physics to language, from sculpture to video art, this exhibit crossed a broad range of disciplines and displayed the importance of bringing creativity and interdisciplinary thinking into work on climate change.

OCS is continuing to collaborate with the Flute & The Bowl in the 2019/2020 year in projects integrating art and climate issues. Please get in touch with our creative team if you want to find out more.
